      <image:title>Our Story</image:title>
<image:caption>Situated over 750m above sea level, in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Pine Hill is a specialist stud run by Geoff and Nikki Lomman. We specialise in breeding quality sheep which are usually sold at around 18 months old. We are located in the high rainfall red soil pastures of Robertson. Geoff has over thirty years’ experience as a professional vegetable agronomist, so his priority has been to renovate the previously run down pastures, and he now maintains soil fertility to ensure the best nutrition possible for our sheep. We have installed strip grazing which helps get the best productivity from the pastures, and minimises the need for drenching against worms. After initially running Dorpers, we changed to Wiltipolls in 2016, and have been extremely pleased with their good temper, shedding and mothering. The recent drought has also demonstrated our Wiltipolls’ ability as good doers, showing weight gain, good resilience, and maintaining high marking percentages, even under very trying conditions. We breed from the best available bloodlines, producing stock with a range of desirable traits including strong composition, black hooves and long bodies which we are very proud of. We are proud members of the Australian Stud Sheep Breeders Association (ASSBA) and the Wiltipoll Sheep Breeders Association (WSBA). Our stud sheep come with a pedigree, can be registered with ASSBA, and conform to the breed standards.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Wiltipolls are meat sheep bred for taste, productivity and ease of handling. They are bred from the historic British breed, Wiltshire Horns. Wiltshire Horns and Wiltipolls are shedding sheep, dropping their short wool and hair coats annually. This means they do not require mulesing, shearing or crutching. They are naturally resistant to fly strike, making them easier to care for. They are hardy and well suited to commercial prime lamb production on any scale, and are also suitable for small flocks and hobby farms.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Wiltipoll Sheep - About Wiltipolls</image:title>
<image:caption>Wiltipolls are meat sheep bred for taste, productivity and ease of handling. Wiltipolls are bred from the historic British breed, Wiltshire Horns. Wiltshire Horns and Wiltipolls are shedding sheep, dropping their short wool and hair coats annually. This means they do not require mulesing, shearing or crutching. They are naturally resistant to fly strike, making them easier to care for. They are hardy and well suited to commercial prime lamb production on any scale, and are also suitable for small flocks and hobby farms. The Wiltipoll breed was bred in Australia by crossbreeding to introduce the poll (hornless) gene into Wiltshire Horns. The lack of horns improves handling and reduces bruising. Pure bred Wiltipolls have large plain bodies and have at least 96% Wiltshire Horn genetics. They produce lean lambs that grow quickly and have exceptional taste and meat quality. Wiltipolls are ideal for use in composite flocks producing prime lamb. Their British heritage gives Wiltipolls the ability to tolerate wet conditions, like ours here in the Southern Highlands. They have a high rate of multiple births (twins are the norm and triplets are not uncommon). They can do well under a wide range of conditions. Their good temperament and ease of care make them ideal for commercial breeders who find that the low maintenance of this breed reduces labour requirements. They are also perfect for novice sheep breeders.</image:caption>
